The Canterbury Half Marathon is a challenging race which passes through several villages whose residents offer runners great support. The event is organised by Nice-Work and attracts around 600 entrants each year.
A tough course through quiet country lanes on the outskirts of the city. Miles 10-11 are particularly hard but you will be rewarded with stunning views of Canterbury Cathedral as you approach the finish.
Did this run in 2015 and plan to do it again in 2017. Its a nice run, there are a few hills in it if I remember correctly, last year I got absolutely drenched (obviously that's not anything that can be planned for) I liked this run but I only give it 3 because it doesn't feel like Canterbury, its back Country roads that start from Merton Farm (Lounge on the Farm territory), it feels like it could be any where. I know it would be hard to have a run go through Canterbury and understand why its done this way. Overall it was a good run I will attend again.
