The Ironbridge Half Marathon is organised by Telford Harriers. For many taking part the highlight is runnig along the famous Ironbridge which is lined with cheering supporters.
The race starts in Telford Town Park before meandering past Blists Hill to historic Coalport along the Silkin Way. After crossing the bridge runners continue down the disused Seven Valley railway line towards the famous iron bridge. The route continues along the Wharfage before climbing back up to Coalbrookdale and returning to the finish along the Silkin Way. A mainly off-road half that uses quiet footpaths and bridleways.
All ages are welcome although under 12's must be accompanied by an adult. Entry is on the day and costs £3. All runners are rewarded with goody a bag.
