The Paris half marathon or 'Semi Marathon De Paris' is an IAAF Bronze Label race which which attracts 40,000 runners from across France and the rest of Europe. The race boasts impressive male and female course records - in 2012 Kenyan athletes Bowott and Njeri recorded times of (59:44) and (1:07:55) respectively.
The race starts and finishes in the woodland surroundings of the Bois des Vincennes. Runners meander along the boulevards and streets of the 12th arrondissement before entering the French capital's city centre for a loop round the Hotel de Ville city hall. The highlight for many runners is passing the Bastille and Notre Dame before they to the finish line along Rue de Reuilly and Avenue Daumesnil. It is a relatively flat route so that pb you have been chasing might be possible!
