About

Yaroslavl is the capital of the famous 'Golden Ring' with over 1000-years of history. The whole city centre is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - a place of real beauty and a great location for a race. The local government are involved and there will be lots of other events before and after the race allowing runners to discover the whole Yaroslavl region.

The Course

The race both starts and finishes at the 'Strelka' (a small cape at the confluence of the Volga and Kotorosl rivers). According to the legend this is the place where Rostov Prince Yaroslav the Wise founded Yaroslavl. If you would like to see Old Russia and get a taste of the culture this would be a great race to take part in.
