The Ox is three exciting races in one of Britain's most beautiful landscapes - the half, full and ultra marathons. Nestled slap bang in the middle of the former Royal Hunting ground of Cranborne Chase the three races take place over the West Wiltshire downs and along the ancient Ox Droves.
All three races start and finish at the Rushmore Estate, home of the Larmer Tree gardens, all three races follow the same route before branching off at relevant distances. All finishers get a technical t-shirt and a medal that the organisers say will be the size of a man-hole cover!!
A good challenge. The routes are being finalised at the moment but boast 1,800 feet of ascent (half), 3,000 feet of ascent (full) and 4,000 feet of ascent for the ultra. All three races will include fantastic views of Cranborne Chase, the Beautiful Rushmore Estate and the Wiltshire Downs, big hills and superb downhills.
