The City of Norwich Half Marathon has a long history having first been held in the city centre in 1985. Since then the event has moved to the Norfolk Showground although the race has kept 'City of Norwich' in its title. It is a BARR Gold Graded event and offers the speedy runners several thousand pounds worth of prizes.
The race starts and finishes within the Norfolk Showground and follows a rural single lap route through the parishes of Easton, Honingham, Colton, Barnham Broom, Marlingford and close to Easton College. The first half of the course is pretty flat with one or two little bumps in the second half.
