The Cornish Marathon is a well established race organised by East Cornwall Harriers. It has a limit of 350 runners and is one of the toughest marathons on the UK marathon calander.
Some call the course "picturesque" others call it tough! It's an out and back course, along the Draynes Valley, Bodmin Moor, Bolventor (Jamaica Inn), Fowey Valley and back to Pensilva. The race starts from Millenium House in Pensilva, where its relatively flat gradient makes for a gentler start, however, don't be deceived, it is the next 25 miles, particularly the climb to Foredown between miles 24 and 25, which most people will remember. Your quads will be hurting on Monday!
