The Freckleton Half Marathon has the honour of being the oldest half marathon in the UK. A great race that takes place in the heart of the Flyde coast. The first race was held back in 1965 and was won by no other than Ron Hill who still holds the course record!
There is definately a chance that you could get a pb at this race. A flat course although the last four miles are a bit of a slog down the main road from Lytham are a bit of a slog. The course passes through several villages including Freckleton with residents offering great support.
