Malta, which lies 93k south of Sicily at the heart of the Mediterrean has an abundance of history. There is lots to see from the megalithic temples dating back 3000 years to the 'Silent City' of Mdina. The waters surrounding the island are unbelievably blue and Malta in Febuary is a lot warmer than the rest of Europe!
The race starts at the gates of Malta's former capital, Mdina. It is the highest point of the island making this a fast course as runners descend 200m to the lowest point. The race passes through both countryside and built up areas before finishing at the popular town promenade of Sliema.
