Race Website

The race is held in Tromso which is within the Arctic circle in northern Norway. It's really cold and the race takes place during the Polar night period when the sun doesn't rise above the horizon giving only 2hrs of daylight at around midday. It is the most popular winter race in Norway and offers the chance for runners to see the spectacular Northern Lights if the conditions are right.

The Course

The race starts and finishes downtown towards the south-end of the island. Runners head along the coast towards the airport passing Telegrafbukta, then Langen before heading back into town and towards the finish.
